Padres -- Luke Gregerson converted the save for San Diego on Friday, and gave up only one hit in the process, but that hit happened to be home run by Colorado's Andrew Brown. The save was Gregerson's third save since Monday, which happen to be his only saves recorded in 2012. The job does seem to be Gregerson's at the moment, but there are plenty of guys in San Diego's bullpen ready to step in his place including Joe Thatcher who just returned from the disabled list.

Xavier Nady, OF, SF -- After being designated for assignment for the Nationals, Nady signed a minor-league deal with the Giants, his hometown team, on August 5. In Nady's last 55 at-bats at Triple-A Fresno he hit an impressive .364. The Giants have been tinkering with their outfield since the suspension of Melky Cabrera, and Nady was giving a chance to start in left Saturday afternoon and delivered a three-run double that helped his team to a 5-2 road win. As long as Nady can continue to produce timely hits like he did in his Giants debut Saturday he should have an easy time making people forget his poor start in Washington.
