Closer Watch

New York Yankees - Adam Warren picked up just his second save of his career on Thursday, allowing a walk to Cubs infielder Luis Valbuena before setting down the side. Warren will continue to be in the mix for saves while closer David Robertson is laid up on the DL, although look for Shawn Kelley to be the first out of the bullpen in the ninth until Robertson returns next week from a groin injury.

Seattle Mariners - With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning on Thursday, the Rangers rallied for two unearned runs off closer Fernando Rodney. It was Rodney's first blown save of the season, as he gave up a hit and a walk after retiring the first two batters in the inning. Rodney is expected to bounce back after the Mariners' defense failed him, with no real threat looming to steal his gig as closer.

Recommended Pickup

Rajai Davis, OF, DET – Davis is known for his speed, but not his on-base abilities, as evidenced by his .317 career OBP. While he has battled for at-bats and hit the DL too many times in the past, Davis has a clear path to 500 at-bats with Detroit as long as he can stay healthy. His batting average has been hovering around .300 since the start of the season, and he's already snatched five stolen bases to begin the year. Davis has a fantastic chance of being among the league leaders in stolen bases yet again and should already be owned in deeper leagues, but if he's sitting there in shallower leagues, he's worth grabbing for the speed.
