Manassero closed with a two-under 70 to tie for third at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.

ANALYSIS
Heading into the final round, Manassero sat in second place, just two strokes off of Alex Noren's lead. Manassero made a late run at the victory, carding back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14, but couldn't close out, paring the rest of the way. While the Italian did not end up in the winner's circle, it was a great confidence booster that gave him entrance into this week's Open Championship. Manassero's best finish in an Open Championship came in 2009 when he finished low amateur at T13.
