Perhaps no player on the PGA TOUR better exemplifies the term "grinder" as much as Connell. Connell played 25 events last season, and though he only finished with two top-10s, he made the cut 19 times. Those smaller checks can really add up when you get 19 of them. Now for the bad news. Most of Connell's best finishes came during fall, but on the bright side, his best finish was a T6 at the Honda Classic. Connell wasn't exactly a statistical star last season as his best rank was 75th in putting average.
