Sorenstam had to settle for a one-over 71 at the opening round of the Colonial Thursday, even though she hit 13 of 14 fairways and 14 of 18 greens in regulation.

Sorenstam is paired with two rookies, Dean Wilson and Aaron Barber, for the opening two rounds of the Colonial PGA event this week.

Sorenstam will play on the PGA Tour in May, the Associated Press reports. She plans to take a sponsor's exemption for the Colonial in May.

Sorenstam will be offered a sponsor's exemption for the Chrysler Classic of Tucson, the Arizona Republic reports. The tournament is the last week of February, and runs opposite the Accenture Match Play Championship the same week.

The B.C. Open has offered Sorenstam a sponsor's exemption for the mid-July tournament. Sorenstam, who just learned of the offer this weekend, isn't expected to make a decision for a while.
