DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

The NHL offers up a gigantic slate with 13 games Tuesday. You won't have to be overly sneaky to find ways to differentiate your selections for tournaments, so with that in mind, here are a handful of recommendations across multiple price ranges to consider while assembling your DraftKings lineups.

GOALIE

Braden Holtby, WAS at TOR ($8,300): Toronto is on the wrong end of a back-to-back set and will be playing its third game in four nights. Holtby enters with an active 7-1-1 record and curbed a two-outing slump with a 35-save road win over Columbus last time out. Washington should also have plenty of motivation in a bout against a potential playoff opponent.

CENTER

Tyler Seguin, DAL vs. ARI ($7,100): This is a buy-low spot for Seguin. He's missed the scoresheet in nine of his past 12 games and recorded just two goals and a helper during that span. With Arizona allowing the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (13.13) in the league and surrendering 30 goals during their current 3-6-1 stretch, the matchup is ripe. Seguin's posted an elite 3.15 points per 60 minutes over four years as a Star, too.

Pavel Zacha, NJD vs. PHI ($3,200): A low-priced dart, Zacha skated between Taylor Hall and Mike Cammalleri in practice Monday, and the rookie pivot has collected eight assists through his past 11 games. Considering the elite company on his flanks, Zacha checks out as a solid source of cap relief with upside.

WING

T.J. Oshie, WAS at TOR ($6,800): As noted this is a tough schedule spot for the Maple Leafs, and Oshie enters with a four-game point streak that includes three tallies and two assists. He's locked into a high-upside role skating with Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin in all situations, and Oshie carries the lowest salary of the trio.

Artemi Panarin, CHI at COL ($6,500): Since the trade deadline, Colorado has allowed the most goals per 60 minutes (3.59) and gone 4-14. The Avalanche also sport the worst team save percentage (.894) in the league. With the soft matchup, Panarin's salary stands out as a serious bargain, especially since he's sporting a four-game goal streak with five tallies, six points and 19 shots on net during that stretch.

Kris Versteeg, CGY at ANA ($3,600): While this has the look of a tough matchup, Anaheim has allowed the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (12.82) since the trade deadline. Versteeg, meanwhile, has settled into a key role and become a strong contributor for the Flames. The veteran has five goals, seven assists and seven power-play points through his past 15 games, so he is worth a long look at this salary.

DEFENSE

P.K. Subban, NAS vs. NYI ($5,200): While the defenseman has slowed down of late (two goals and an assist over his past 10 games), Subban has still posted 20 points, 34 shots and 46 blocked shots while averaging 24:13 of ice time (2:06 with the man advantage) over his past 26 outings. Not only have the Islanders allowed the second-most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (12.1) this season, they travel to Nashville without John Tavares (lower body).

John Klingberg, DAL vs. ARI ($5,000): A potential stack option alongside Seguin in this soft matchup, Klingberg has continued to provide solid numbers down the stretch with two goals, five points, 11 shots and 10 blocked shots through his past seven outings. This salary hardly matches the rearguard's high-end 1.75 points per 60 minutes since entering the league, either.
