FantasyDraft NHL: Sunday Values
FantasyDraft NHL: Sunday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

Next Sunday is the NHL All-Star Game, so daily fantasy hockey fans will be out of luck. This Sunday, though, they have four games worth of players from which to choose.

GOALIE

Anaheim Ducks, ANA vs. SAN ($16,300): San Jose's offense is mediocre to begin with (2.80 goals per game), and they will travel for the second night of a back-to-back in this matchup. Away from home, the Sharks have only managed 2.65 goals per contest. Though John Gibson has a 2.59 GAA, his .923 save percentage is particularly impressive. Plus, in his last nine outings, he has 1.77 GAA and a .936 save percentage.

CENTER

Erik Haula, VGK at CAR ($12,900): The Hurricanes are on the second night of a back-to-back, and Scott Darling (2.94 GAA, .895 save percentage) will likely be in net. He's been even worse than his season numbers recently: In his last 10 games, he's posted a 3.44 GAA and a .877 save percentage. After a bit of a dry spell, Haula has three points in his last two tilts. Overall, he has 31 points in 41 contests.

Ryan Kesler, ANA vs. SAN ($8,900): Due to an injury to Martin Jones, Aaron Dell is going to have to start his second game in as many nights Sunday. That could certainly hurt his performance, and the Sharks have a team GAA of 3.38 when playing on zero days of rest. Kesler is still finding his footing since returning from injury, but he does have three goals in his last six contests.

WING

Nikolaj Ehlers, WPG vs. VAN ($13,200): Ehlers is having another fine season, and he's tallied 14 points in his last 20 games. He's also notched 12 power-play points in 46 contests. The Canucks, who will be on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, have the 27th-ranked penalty kill. Vancouver certainly isn't likely to be any better than usual on that front given these circumstances.

James Neal, VGK at CAR ($11,900): Neal has been particularly active recently, as he has three goals on 21 shots in his last five games. He's also started 55.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, tops among Vegas' forwards. The Hurricanes have a 3.04 team GAA and a .895 team save percentage, and as previously noted, they will be on the second day of a back-to-back.

Mathieu Perreault, WPG vs. VAN ($11,500): Perreault has sudden turned red-hot for the Jets. In his last five games, he's notched six points and 18 shots on goal. He's also been a real weapon on the power play, as he's tallied 11 points with the extra man. Vancouver is on the second night of a back-to-back and, before Saturday's game, had a 3.20 team GAA.

DEFENSEMEN

Jake Muzzin, LOS vs. NYR ($9,600): Before hitting injured reserve, Muzzin had three points in four games, and in two games since returning from injury, he has two more points. Overall, Muzzin has 25 points, and he's blocked 81 shots. The Rangers have allowed 34.1 shots on net per contest, and they will be on the road for the second tilt of a back-to-back. That could also mean Ondrej Pavelec (2.97 GAA, .915 save percentage) in net for New York instead of Henrik Lundqvist.

Shea Theodore, VGK at CAR ($9,300): Theodore has started 55.9 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, which is third among Vegas defensemen and third on the team. He's picked up an assist in each of his last two games, and in his last six contests, he's notched 17 shots on goal. Theodore has also averaged 2:35 per game with the extra man, tallying six power-play points in the process. The Hurricanes, for their part, have the 24th-ranked penalty kill.
