FantasyDraft NHL: Thursday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

This Thursday's NHL state is a perfect 10…or at least there are 10 games on the slate. That means an abundance of daily fantasy lineup options. Here are some of the best…

GOALIE

Carolina Hurricanes, CAR vs. ARI ($16,100): The Coyotes are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. Arizona is 9-17-7 in away games and has scored a mere 2.39 goals per game in those contests. Plus, even though Carolina's goalies have admittedly been bad, the team has only allowed 28.6 shots on net per game. Believe it or not, that's best in the NHL.

CENTER

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, EDM at OTT ($13,400): Nugent-Hopkins has played some impressive hockey since returning from injury. In nine games he's tallied four goals, four assists, and 30 shots on net. The Senators have a woeful 3.39 GAA and have allowed 33.4 shots on goal per game, so don't be surprised if The Nuge stays hot.

Jonathan Toews, CHI vs. VAN ($10,700): Though Toews has a career-low 9.5 shooting percentage, he's still managed 20 goals on 211 shots in 74 games. On top of that, he has 12 points in his last 10 contests, including four goals. The Canucks, for their part, have a 3.25 GAA, which is tied for third highest in the league.

WING

J.T. Miller, TAM at NYI ($13,300): The move to Tampa Bay has gone well for Miller. He's tallied 10 points in 10 games, and he's currently skating on a line with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov. Now he gets to face an Islanders team with a staggeringly poor 3.56 GAA. New York also has the worst penalty kill in the NHL. Now that Miller is integrated into the lineup for the Lightning, his power-play time has climbed considerably. Over his last five games, he's averaged 3:09 with the extra man.

Travis Konecny, PHI vs. NYR ($11,000): Konecny is quietly enjoying a breakout season, as he's notched 20 goals and 22 assists in 73 games. He's still on the top of his game as well, posting five points in his last five contests. The Rangers, on the other hand, are far from being at the peak of their powers. Since the All-Star break they have a 3.65 GAA and have allowed 37.5 shots on net per game.

Daniel Sedin, VAN at CHI ($8,600): Sedin has started 73.4 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, one of the highest totals in the entire NHL. He's also still a power-play force, as he's played 2:54 per game with the extra man and notched 21 points in 72 games. Without Corey Crawford, the Blackhawks have collapsed in goal. They have a 3.68 GAA since the All-Star break, highest in the NHL. Additionally, in that time their penalty kill ranks 27th.

DEFENSEMEN

Ivan Provorov, PHI vs. NYR ($10,700): Provorov's been putting the puck on net quite a bit recently, as he has 36 shots on net over his last 10 contests. As previously noted, the Rangers have given up 37.5 shots on goal per game since the All-Star break. Given New York's 3.65 GAA in that time, it also wouldn't be surprising if the Russian defenseman was able to contribute to a goal. Plus, he's blocked 150 shots in 74 games, so he can add some fantasy value on that front.

Dmityi Orlov, WAS at DET ($7,400): The Capitals don't have a ton of defensive depth, but if you don't want to break the bank for John Carlson, Orlov is your best bet. He has five points in his last six games, giving him 29 on the season. March has been unkind to the Red Wings, to say the least. In 10 games they've allowed a whopping 43 goals.
