FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

There are 11 games on the slate Tuesday, giving us a ton of hockey action, and a lot of options for your daily fantasy lineup. With that in mind, here are my recommendations.

GOALIE

Mikko Koskinen, EDM vs. STL ($8,600): Koskinen returned from the KHL this season to quickly earn the starting job for the Oilers. How could they they say no to him, given his 2.18 GAA and .928 save percentage? Meanwhile, the Blues have really struggled on the road offensively. They've averaged 2.17 goals per game in away games.

CENTER

Sean Couturier, PHI vs. DET ($6,400): The Flyers have a new coach, but Couturier will remain a key cog in their offense. After breaking out last season, the 26-year-old has 13 goals and 11 assists through 29 games. The Red Wings have had issues on the road, as they've got a 3.67 GAA and have given up a whopping 34.9 shots on net in those contests.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, EDM vs. STL ($5,500): Thanks to seven points in his last seven games, Nugent-Hopkins now has 31 points in 34 contests. That includes a whopping 12 points with the extra man. Though the Blues have actually been pretty good on the penalty kill, they still have a 3.42 GAA, sixth highest in the NHL.

WING

Jeff Skinner, BUF vs. FLA ($7,200): His 23.5 shooting percentage is bound to regress, but Skinner is having a great season. He's already got 24 goals in 34 games, which equals his goal total from all of last season. Though Skinner may slow down, the odds of him keeping it up in this matchup seem high, as the Panthers have a 4.00 road GAA.

Gustav Nyquist, DET at PHI ($6,300): Nyquist has been a little lacking on the goal front, as he only has nine tallies, but he's made up for that with 21 assists. Plus, seven of his goals have come in his last 11 games, which is encouraging. The Flyers have a 3.74 GAA, and they are a mess in net right now. They've called up Carter Hart, but he has yet to play in an NHL game in his career and has had issues in the AHL this season.

Clayton Keller, ARI vs. NYI ($5,900): Keller has been a rare bright spot for the Coyotes' offense, as he has 23 points in 32 games. He's also averaged 3:31 on the power play, notching 10 points in the process. As for the Islanders, they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, and Robin Lehner will be in net. Over his last seven games, he has an .891 save percentage.

DEFENSE

Rasmus Ristolainen, BUF vs. FLA ($5,200): Ristolainen is a true workhorse, as he's averaged more than 25 minutes of ice time for the last four seasons. He's also been productive this year, as he has 21 points, 12 of which have come in his last 14 games. As previously noted, the Panthers have a 4.00 GAA on the road.

Ryan Ellis, NAS at CHI ($4,800): With an assist Monday, Ellis now has 15 points in 34 games. He also has 70 shots on goal and 68 blocked shots. The Blackhawks have a 3.83 GAA and have given up 34.3 shots on net per contest. To make matters worse for them, Corey Crawford is out with another concussion. That likely means Cam Ward (4.17 GAA, .883 save percentage) will be in net, which bodes well for Ellis.
