DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Jordan Binnington, STL vs. EDM ($7,700): He was brilliant again in a 5-1 win against the Pens, making 40 saves and improving to 17-4-1 with a microscopic 1.77 GAA this season. The Oilers remain tantalizing because of their dynamic duo, but overall the team continues to be a mess, and they lack the quality depth and the discipline to take advantage of a Blues team that's only been so-so at home with a 17-15-.2 record.

CENTER

Tyler Seguin, DAL vs. FLA ($7,200): With the way he's been playing, it's only a matter before he starts racking up the points again. He's gone without a point in his past two games, but registered 12 shots on net while averaging 22 minutes per game. He has 22 points in 21 career games against the Panthers in his career, including a three-point effort earlier this season.

Derek Ryan, CGY vs. CLS ($3,000): If Sean Monahan can't play, Ryan will be the one filling in on the top line. This is a prime, one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the 32-year-old veteran, and if there's any skepticism about Bill Peters leaving him in that spot full-time, Ryan played 17 minutes against the Rangers and 20 minutes against the Jets. This is a great value pick if he plays with Johnny Gaudreau and Elias Lindholm

WING

David Perron, STL vs. EDM ($5,200): With a goal against the Sabres, Perron stretched his point streak to 15 games, arguably the hottest player in the league right now. He has 22 points in 23 games since December 1, and during that time has consistently played over 18 minutes per game. The Oilers are vulnerable in their own end and Perron continues to skate on the top line with Brayden Schenn

Roope Hintz, DAL vs. FLA ($4,100): If you want to linestack the Stars' top line, one of them should be Hintz, who is undervalued at this price for a talented winger getting at least 16 minutes per game. He had a three-game point streak snapped against the Canucks, but his ability to get pucks on net consistently ensures he provides a little value every night.

Derick Brassard, COL at MIN ($3,000): The regression in his play this season has been surprisingly significant, but he's found opportunity in Colorado, especially now with Gabriel Landeskog out. The veteran forward has played over 17 minutes in each of his past five games and gets the plum assignment of skating next to Nathan MacKinnon. It's not a bad gamble at this price and he's averaging more shots with the Avs than with the Pens or Panthers.

DEFENSE

Shea Weber, MON at PHI ($6,100): The booming shooter should have more success than usual against the Flyers, who are 25th in penalty killing this season. Even though the Habs power play hasn't been effective, but no matter what the play will almost always run through Weber's point shot. He remains a good source of peripheral stats, and four of his 11 goals this season have come on the power play.

Niklas Kronwall, DET at NYR ($2,800): Other than a few blocked shots there's just no guarantee what sort of fantasy value Kronwall can provide, but it's interesting that he continues to eat up a chunk of the power-play time. The Rangers penalty killing ranks 26th, so maybe Kronwall will get lucky with all the ice time he gets. Filip Hronek ($3,600) is still a good value pick, but with Kronwall stealing some minutes, he's a little less appealing.
