DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

Picking your daily fantasy lineup during the playoffs is tricky. Every team is good enough to make the postseason, so finding values and favorable matchups can be a tough road to navigate. All that said, we must soldier on. Here are my recommendations for your lineup based on the four games Saturday. The first game is at 3:00 PM ET, by the way.

GOALIE

Ben Bishop, DAL at NAS ($7,200): Bishop had an 1.98 GAA and .934 save percentage, which is great. You know what's even better, though? The 1.09 GAA and .964 save percentage he has over his last 13 contests. Throw in Nashville's league-worst power play, and Bishop is an intriguing option.

CENTER

David Krejci, BOS vs. TOR ($5,200): Krejci has been on fire since the beginning of March. In 18 games since the start of the previous month, he's notched 18 points, including eight goals. On the other hand, the Maple Leafs have a 3.30 GAA since the All-Star break.

Nazem Kadri, TOR at BOS ($4,300): Kadri hasn't let being Toronto's third center cut into his output. He's got a four-game point streak, and he's notched a point in six of his last seven outings. Tuukka Rask's recent games have gone less well. He has a .892 save percentage in his last 18 outings.

WING

Elias Lindholm, CGY vs. COL ($5,600): Lindholm cooled down after a hot start to the season, but he did pick up an assist in Game 1 of this series. Plus, he still skates on Calgary's top line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau. He also tallied 26 points with the extra man. Meanwhile, the Avalanche have the 25th-ranked penalty kill.

Andreas Johnsson, TOR at BOS ($4,100): Johnsson wasn't one of the big names for the Maple Leafs heading into the season, but the rookie managed 20 goals and 23 assists in 73 games. Of course, spending a lot of his time with Auston Matthews as his center certainly helped. As for Rask, he has a 3.34 GAA and .873 save percentage in his last nine starts.

Alex Kerfoot, COL at CGY ($3,600): Kerfoot recently had a six-game point streak, including four points with the extra man. On the season he tallied 16 power-play points in 78 contests. Mike Smith may have pitched a shutout in the first game of this series, but he had an .898 save percentage this year.

DEFENSE

Torey Krug, BOS vs. TOR ($5,600): Let's bet big on proven defensemen. Krug has six points in his last six games, and 53 points total in 64 contests. Plus, as previously noted, the Maple Leafs had a 3.30 GAA since the All-Star break, bottom 10 in the NHL.

Tyson Barrie, COL at CGY ($5,500): Barrie started 64.1 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Avalanche. He also averaged 4:03 per game with the extra man, notching 25 power-play points in the process. The Flames have the 21st-ranked penalty kill, and of course Mike Smith has that aforementioned .898 save percentage.
