DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Playoff Picks

DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

At this point in the NHL schedule, there are no more days with multiple games taking place. That means every daily fantasy contest will be in Showdown form. You pick six players, at least one from each team, and go for it. Tuesday is the Hurricanes hosting the Bruins, trying to get their first win of the series. Here are my recommendations.

Brad Marchand, BOS ($10,800)

The first two games of this series tip me in a Boston direction, but the move from Beantown to Carolina does temper my enthusiasm just a smidge. Not for Marchand, though. After having his first 100-point season, the pesky forward has 15 points in 15 postseason games. He's one of the most-expensive players Tuesday, and yet he still feels like a good bargain to me.

Teuvo Teravainen, CAR ($9,800)

Teravainen ended the regular season hot, and so he has nine goals and seven assists in his last 18 games. He's now skating on Carolina's top line, and on its top power-play unit as well. The Bruins had a great defense, but they only had the 16th-ranked penalty kill, so that was a relative weakness.

David Krejci, BOS ($9,400)

Krejci has a point in four-straight games, and he has a point in 11 of his last 13 contests as well. Meanwhile, since returning from injury Petr Mrazek has really struggled in the net for the Hurricanes. He's allowed 10 goals over two starts in this series.

Dougie Hamilton, CAR ($7,200)

Hamilton hasn't gotten revenge against his old team yet, but he's always active on the offensive side of things. The 25-year-old tallied 18 goals on 259 shots this season, and he's added 38 more shots on net in the playoffs. As long as he gets pucks on goal he'll have a little fantasy value, and his involvement offensively could yield a point or two as well.

Charlie Coyle, BOS ($6,800)

For a third-line center, Coyle has been awfully involved recently. He's tallied five points in his last three contests, including three helpers in Game 2 of this series. The Massachusetts native has six goals and six assists in 14 playoff contests, giving you the potential for some real bang for your buck.

Marcus Johansson, BOS ($5,800)

Johansson has been the primary beneficiary of Charlie Coyle's surge at center. The Swede has five points over his last three games, including one on the power play. He's also started 69.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone in the playoffs, tops on the Bruins.
