This player will have no fantasy value in 2013-14 and can be ignored in all formats.
Mink was signed to an AHL contract in the offseason and will most likely never get a shot to be a full time NHL player. At 32 his window is closing as he will continue to produce in the AHL. He has averaged around 40 points in all 10 seasons at the AHL level.
Mink came over to the Blues in an offseason deal, as the organization has become a little thin at the forward spot. He'll start the season at Peoria of the AHL, where he'll be one of a few veterans on ice for the Rivermen. He might be one of the guys that get called up from time to time when injuries hit, but he's likely to play more in Peoria than St. Louis.
Mink has been brought in to stabilize the Panthers' AHL team in Rochester, which had a tumultuous 2008-09 season. His fantasy contributions are non-existent.
Mink played last season with AHL Worcester, where he posted 55 points in 71 games. He has appeared in the NHL here and there over the past few years, but they have not led to anything successful. There is no reason that he will be in the NHL this coming season. He is a big right wing, gut has no value as he should continue his career in the minors.
Mink last season with Hershey of the AHL posted 40 points (21 goals and 19 assists) in 40 games. At 28 he is too old to be a prospect, and was signed in order to fill out Worchester’s roster. He might get called up at some point during the season.
He will be in the minors for all of 2006-07 barring a rash of injuries at the center position for the Sharks.
Mink has scored 34-39 points in each of his last four AHL seasons, and is now 26. He's organizational filler, and should spend all of 2005-06 at Hershey.
