Zanon, who signed a two-year, $4.5 million deal with the Avs in July, is a third-pairing defender who doesn't really deliver in any fantasy category, even the deep ones. Zanon ranked fourth in the league last season with 196 blocked shots. The physical veteran also recorded 183 hits. As impressive as those stats are, he doesn't put up points, so he won't do much for your fantasy team.
Zanon will make $2 million this season to play stay at home defense, but not much else. He doesn't score often or spend much time in the penalty box. He offers next to nothing in most leagues. He has proven durable the last few years, including skating in all 82 contests last season.
