Sweatt was reassigned to Chicago of the AHL on Wednesday, the Canucks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Sweatt played just one game with the Canucks during his brief promotion. He could be a depth option for the team later this season, but the improving health of the squad and moves made at the trade deadline left no room for Sweatt on the roster.

Sweatt continued his development at the minor league level last season, finishing with 34 points (16 G, 18 A) in 71 appearances for Chicago of the AHL; he even made a brief appearance with the Canucks in December 2011, playing limited minutes in two games before getting sent back to Chicago. At 24, Sweatt appears ready to take the next step to the NHL level. He possesses the speed and hands to be a productive scorer in the NHL but might earn his stripes through his strong defensive play and as a penalty killer. Don’t be surprised if the Canucks turn to Sweatt for some extra forward depth in 2012-13.
Sweatt had a decent debut with Manitoba of the AHL last season, finishing with 46 points (19 G, 27 A) in 80 games. The 23-year-old winger projects as a future third-line type at the NHL level, but he'll probably need another year or two in the AHL level before getting a prolonged look from the Canucks.
After the Maple Leafs failed to reach a deal with Sweatt this offseason, the 2007 second-round pick inked a three-year entry-level deal with the Canucks. Sweatt, 22, is a speed demon with great hands and a solid hockey IQ. He’s expected to spend the 2010-11 season with Manitoba of the AHL, but Sweatt should be on the radar in deep keeper leagues.
Sweatt is expected to return to Colorado College for his junior season. He has all the skills to be a top six forward in the future, so keeper leagues should keep an eye on him.
Sweatt returned to Colorado College for the 2007-08 season
Sweat is both the fastest skater of the 2007 draft class and the player closest to the NHL. He brings a book case full of hockey smarts to the table and has some skill to boot. He does everything equally well but his future likely lies as a premier penalty killer and an insane forechecker. Not much here for fantasy owners but plenty for his on-ice team.
