Elkins has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Anaheim Ducks, according to his agent Scott Norton via Twitter, the Orange County Register reports.

ANALYSIS
Elkins last played in the NHL during the 2009-10 season for the Kings. He appeared in three games and scored one goal. The 27-year-old spent last season in the Czech Republic with Pardubice HC where he tallied six goals and seven assists in 26 games.

Elkins spent the season at Manchester of the AHL, netting 18 goals and 26 assists in 76 games. The 26-year old could see time with the Kings on a short term basis as an injury replacement but will need to have a strong training camp to break camp with them. He's likely headed back to the AHL again to provide organizational depth.

Elkins actually got in three games with the Kinfs but spent the remainder of the season at the AHL, netting 21 goals in 73 games. He's a big kid (6'3", 216) and could give the Kings some size down the middle but will most likely spend much of the year at the AHL again.
