Beaudoin was traded to the Blackhawks in exchange for Peter LeBlanc, the Washington Times' Stephen Whyno reports.

Beaudoin led the San Antonio Rampage in scoring with 51 points in 63 games last season. He has yet to make his NHL debut, but could be the kind of scorer the Coyotes take a flier on during the season, especially if the offense stagnates as it has had a tendency to do in the past. That said, Beaudoin's most likely home will be in Portland with the Pirates of the AHL.
Beaudoin tallied 12 goals and 30 assists in 63 games last season with the Coyotes' AHL affiliate. He has yet to make an appearance in an NHL contest, but if he can translate some of his offensive prowess into success at the big level, he could find himself on the upside of NHL ice time.
