Either Regan, who should start the season with AHL Providence, or Dany Sabourin, are first in line for a call-up, should either Tim Thomas or Tuukka Rask suffer an injury.
Regan is coming off a stellar season (he was a Hobey Baker Award finalist) at the University of New Hampshire, but at the moment there are plenty of goalies ahead of him on the Bruins' organizational depth chart.
Regan has spent the last three seasons with U. of New Hampshire in the NCAA, putting up some pretty impressive numbers. He is as solid a goaltender as they come, but is not considered close to making the NHL at this point. He's still thought to be behind Tuukka Rask as Boston's goalie of the future.
Regan is a gritty, battling-style goalie who relies on his reflexes instead of his pure athleticism. He's toiling at the college level and won't be a fantasy factor now or perhaps even in the future.
