ANALYSIS
Stevenson looked great and saw a good bit of ice time. But, the Thrashers have quite a few talented centers on the roster already, so look for him to remain in the AHL.

Stevenson did not play in the majors last season, but had an OK year in 2005-06, and Calgary is hoping he can recapture some of that magic. He will compete for a spot on the Flames' fourth line heading into the season.

All things considered, 22 points in 47 games wasn't all that bad for someone who rarely got power-play time or heavy minutes. No one in San Jose sees him as more than a third-line type, though.
