Fairchild was a four-year starter at the University of Minnesota where he showed a good mind for the offensive side of the game. The question is whether his size will play at the pro level. We're going to find out. Fairchild was part of the prospects contingent the Blues sent to the Traverse City tournament this offseason, so there's some interest to see how he develops.
