Travis Turnbull

Turnbill will stick with the Sabres for one more year after re-upping with the club over the summer. The former Michigan Wolverine had his season shortened by a shoulder injury in 2010-11. The tenacious Turnbull will spend 2011-12 dropping the gloves for Buffalo's new AHL affiliate in Rochester.

A rare prospect out of the state of Missouri, Turnbull, the University of Michigan alum has yet to make a major impression professionally with the Sabres. Think another Pat Kaleta type player in the organization, whose style of play will endear him to the fans in Portland.
