The Avalanche have signed Walker to an entry-level contract, according to the Denver Post.

ANALYSIS
The 20-year-old Walker was Colorado's fifth-round pick (139th overall) in this year's NHL draft. He spent the last three seasons with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. Walker played in two games for the Avs this preseason, with a goal and a plus-2 rating. He was reassigned to the Avs' AHL-affiliate Lake Erie Monsters on Sunday.
