Although using a draft pick on an 18-year-old winger is not nearly the gamble it used to be, it's a gamble this organization took with their fifth-round pick in 2014. Starving for creative puck-handlers, the 5-foot-10 Minnesota native can play on both sides of the puck, logging 27 points and 41 penalty minutes with Edina High School (Steven Fogarty) one season ago. While Nanne has played center, he's currently being earmarked as a second- or third-pairing defenseman.
