Leedahl signed with the Rangers on Tuesday, with
CapFriendly reporting that it's a three-year, entry-level contract.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old's deal contains performance bonuses for each season, and the total net earnings ($2.475 million) aren't all that far off from the maximum allowed for an ELC. Leedahl progressed well over four seasons with the Everett Silvertips before exploding for more points (89) than games played (71) with the Regina Pats of the WHL, not to mention 121 PIM during the regular season. Presumably, the next big hurdle for the 6-foot-2, 195-pound winger is to impress in the minor leagues.
