BAL - 7/6:Mike Gonzalez should be ready to return from a shoulder injury right after the All-Star break, but the Orioles have stated that Alfredo Simon will continue to close as long as he's pitching well. We'd expect a healthy Gonzalez to get the job back at some point, but Simon should be the guy at least for a while longer.

Felix Pie, OF, Orioles – Pie took a valuable step forward in 2009, but he hurt his shoulder in April and it ruined his chance to grab a hold of the every day job. Now that he is finally back, the Orioles have given him the job outright for the first time since he joined the club. There is a chance at some power/speed combo and he should wind up in the leadoff spot n the long run, though he hit seventh in the lineup after being activated on Tuesday.
