Recommended Pickup

Tyson Ross, P, OAK – Here is yet another young pitcher churned out by the Athletics system. Ross has not been as ballyhooed as a Brett Anderson or a Trevor Cahill, but it is hard to argue with his results. Ross has taken command of his stuff while in the rotation and he has a 1.35 ERA in his last four starts, culminating in Saturday's line: 7.1 innings, two earned runs and eight K's against the White Sox. He won't normally strike out that many, but it is time to show him some love even without an explosive heater.

Other recent recommendations:Jamey Wright, Rick Porcello, Mark Trumbo, Julio Borbon, Erick Aybar, Mike Fontenot

Draft Street Competition

Congratulations to the winners in our recent free, one-day $250 Fantasy Baseball contest with DraftStreet. If you missed out, it's not too late to get in the game.

The Free Roll was such a success that we're working on organizing another free competition for cash prizes later in the season. In the meantime, DraftStreet will be doing a similar one-day fantasy baseball competition every Friday for the rest of the baseball season. Those contests will cost just $5 to enter, and there will be $1000 in cash prizes up for grabs. You'll be competing against roughly the same number of people as you did in the $250 free roll. So, the odds are just as good and the prizes are significantly greater - Register for a free account at DraftStreet.com today and start practicing.

As a reminder, the competition will be an MLB Salary Cap league where values for each player are set based on projected fantasy value each day and your mission is to find the bargains and make the best 14 player team possible within the $100,000 budget.

Be sure to come back to Rotowire's Daily Lineup Card on Thursday and Friday for more details and a link to the competition, as well as all the analysis you need to dominate your leagues and take home cash on DraftStreet every single day.
