Closer Watch

Red Sox – This is where I take a moment to acknowledge the horrible events this afternoon in Boston. My heart goes out to all the people who were hurt, physically and emotionally, on this day. There's just never a reason for anything like this to happen anywhere, ever. That's all I'm going to say about that. Earlier in the day, Andrew Bailey blew the save, but got the win. He seems to be in line to get most of the chances while Joel Hanrahan's out with a hamstring injury.

Recommended Pickup
Scott Kazmir, SP, CLE – If you're in a bind for starting pitching, consider looking Kazmir's way. Widely available due to his checkered history and abdominal injury, he looked promising in spring training, flashing some of the ol' stuff and posting a 13:1 K:BB in 13 innings before getting hurt. He struck out five in five innings in Monday's rehab start and is on track to return to the rotation Saturday for a friendly matchup against Houston. How much more can you ask for?

Other Recent Recommendations: Chris Carter, Ervin Santana, Ted Lilly, Evan Gattis, J.P. Arencibia
