Closer Watch
Baltimore - After converting his first 14 save opportunities, Jim Johnson faltered on Tuesday and coughed up the tying and game-winning runs. There is no concern that he would lose his job right now.

Los Angeles Dodgers - With Clayton Kershaw tiring in the ninth inning of Tuesday's game, the Dodgers needed to turn to the bullpen for the final out. It was Kenley Jansen who got the call, not Brandon League. Jansen promptly struck out Tyler Moore to end the game. Though League has blown just one of nine save opportunities, the vote of confidence is with Jansen. Jansen has lived up to his 2011 and 2012 form, with a WHIP at 0.90 and striking out 28 in 20.2 innings. League, however, has allowed ten earned runs in 14.1 innings. It looks like manager Don Mattingly may have made a preemptive move to Jansen.

Recommended Pickup
Mitch Moreland, 1B, TEX - Scanning the waiver wire looking for a guy who has an OPS above .900? Look no further than Moreland. The power has emerged over the last nine games, in which he has hit six home runs. Still, Moreland does not platoon as he did in 2012 and he gets all the at-bats at first base. He is well on his way north of 20 home runs in his age 27 season.

Other Recent Recommendations:Andrew Bailey, Oswaldo Arcia, Trevor Bauer, Scott Feldman, Andrelton Simmons, Heath Bell
