Closer Watch

White Sox – Matt Lindstrom was activated from the DL on Tuesday, but it was Jake Petricka who got the call in the ninth again … and blew it, giving up two runs on four hits. Petricka's not a terrifically effective reliever in general, so you gotta figure that Lindstrom gets the job back as soon as he can show that he's back and healthy.

Marlins – After struggling his way to a save Monday – he allowed a pair of runs, but escaped – Steve Cishek got the day off to think about it Tuesday. Bryan Morris and Mike Dunn teamworked the ninth, with Dunn coming on for a one-out save after Morris put a couple men on. This is still Cishek's gig, but he's allowed six runs on a whopping 14 hits over his last six innings. But he's also got an 11:2 K:BB in that span, so he may just be experiencing a run of tough luck.

Recommended Pickup
Michael Pineda, SP, NYY – After an extraordinarily long layoff – he hasn't appeared in pinstripes since April 23 – Pineda is finally returning to the mound Wednesday, when he'll face the Orioles. It wouldn't be surprising to see the 25-year-old need a couple starts to get his sea legs under him, as a suspension and then a back injury have knocked him out for a while, but his drafters' loss is your gain if you can pluck him off your waiver wire.

Other Recent Recommendations: Rymer Liriano, David Peralta, Derek Jeter, Vance Worley, Denard Span

DraftKings Value Picks
SP: Tsuyoshi Wada, CHC ($6,500)
C: Caleb Joseph, BAL ($3,700)
1B: Lucas Duda, NYM ($3,600)
2B: Arismendy Alcantara, CHC ($3,700)
SS: Ian Desmond, WAS ($3,900)
3B: Matt Carpenter, STL ($4,200)
OF: Melky Cabrera, TOR ($3,900)
