DraftKings NHL: Sunday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

The four remaining Western Conference teams hit the ice Sunday. The Predators are looking to advance with a home-ice win over St. Louis, whereas Edmonton is hoping to send its series against Anaheim back to Southern California with a Game 6 victory. With enough value options, loading up from with the stars from the Ducks/Oilers game is worth considering. It's been the higher-scoring series.

GOALIE

Pekka Rinne, NAS at STL ($8,000): As good as Rinne has been throughout the playoffs, he's been even better on home ice with a perfect 4-0 record, .951 save percentage and 1.41 GAA. The Smashville crowd has lived up to its reputation during the playoffs, and the Blues have scored just four goals through the past three games and generated the fewest high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (6.86) of all playoff teams. Nashville is also the largest favorite Sunday.

CENTER

Connor McDavid, EDM vs. ANA ($8,200): The superstar has looked dangerous throughout the postseason, but he was especially dominant for stretches of Game 5. Friday's contest was also McDavid's first multi-point showing of the playoffs, and his six shots were also the highest in any game of the second season. With a goal in three consecutive games, and in a must-win spot, McDavid is a difficult fade.

Ryan Getzlaf, ANA vs. EDM ($7,500): No one has been better than Getzlaf during the playoffs. He's posted three straight multi-point outings against Edmonton and has six total over nine playoff games. The veteran center has also shot the puck more this spring with 30 shots, and he's been on the ice for 19.33 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes during this series. Getzlaf's salary isn't in check with his production, either. He has 14 goals and 45 points over his past 30 games dating back to the regular season, after all.

WING

Leon Draisaitl, EDM vs. ANA ($6,900): Currently scorching hot with three goals, 11 points and 15 shots through his past seven games, Draisaitl has also been on the ice for the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes of any Oilers during the postseason. He's been separated from Connor McDavid at times during the playoffs to help balance the Edmonton attack, but the duo remains together on the No. 1 power-play unit. Splitting the one-two punch has never lasted, either, do it might even drive down Draisaitl's ownership.

Rickard Rakell, ANA at EDM ($5,800): The 24-year-old Swede is following up his breakthrough regular season with a dominant playoff run. Rakell has scored in three consecutive games and totalled five goals, nine points and 28 shots through nine postseason games. Most encouraging, Rakell has joined Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry at five-on-five to form a go-to scoring line, and the trio has combined for six goals and 13 points the past two games.

James Neal, NAS vs. STL ($4,800): After a quiet Round 1 with just one assist, Neal has been a force against the Blues. The winger has three goals and 16 shots through the past four games, and he's clicked on a new-look second line with Mike Fisher and Colin Wilson, as the trio have been on the ice for the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes on the club over the past four games. Neal is also a key cog on the power play and benefits at even strength by rarely playing against Vladimir Tarasenko's line. This salary doesn't match Neal's recent uptick in shot volume or offense.

DEFENSE

Oscar Klefbom, EDM vs. ANA ($5,200): The offensive numbers don't jump off the page (two goals and three assists), but Klefbom's peripheral coverage makes him a high-floor option. He's registered 25 shots and 25 blocked shots through 11 playoff games, and the rearguard has been on the ice for the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes of all Edmonton defensemen. Klefbom has also shown excellent chemistry with Connor McDavid all season.

Brandon Montour, ANA vs. EDM ($3,000): The rookie is a solid low-priced flier because of his elite skating ability. Montour also registered five shots in Game 5, and he has three helpers over his past five contests. He's sporting a rock-solid 56.57 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five at five-on-five during the series, and Montour has also been on the ice for 16.48 high-danger scoring chances over to led all Anaheim blue liners.
