Goalie
Jimmy Howard, DET vs ARI ($8,000): Howard is coming off a dominant start against the Panthers where picked up his fourth win of the season. In the win, Howard stopped 44 of 46 shots, the seventh game in which he has had 31 or more stops this season. He's seen this Coyotes team once already and was victorious stopping 33 of 35 shots. Look for another good performance from Howard on Tuesday.
Center
Cody Eakin, VGK at NYR ($4,800): It's no secret at this point that the Golden Knights are playing well and the Rangers are not, especially defensively. Entering Tuesday, Eakin had one goal and four assists averaging around 19 minutes of ice time per game. The Rangers have surrendered the third-most points to opposing center ice men, totals including 16 goals, 22 assists, and 105 shots on goal.
Dylan Larkin, DET vs ARI ($5,400): Larkin, the speedy center ice man for the Red Wings has one goal and nine assists so far. He has just one point in his last four games, but his fortunes could turn on Tuesday skating on the second line facing a Coyotes team that has allowed 16 goals, 18 assists, and 108 shots on goal to opposing centers.
Wing
Andreas Athanasiou, DET vs ARI ($3,600): Due to a contract dispute early this season, Athanasiou has only played in two games. He does have a goal and is working his way into game shape in regards to his ice time. He's slotted in on the second line with two other youngsters in Larkin and Anthony Mantha, as well as on the second power-play unit. The Coyotes have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to opposing left wingers.
Jonathan Marchessault, VGK at NYR ($5,700): The shoot-first winger for the Golden Knights has been somewhat limited to this point with three goals and one assist in six games. He has no points in his last three contests entering Monday, but against a Rangers team that has allowed 11 goals, 11 assists, and 125 shots on goal, Marchessault is a nice value play.
Kyle Connor, WPG at MIN ($3,500): He's still cheap and on the top line with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler, and he's also coming off a two-point effort. In five games, Connor has one goal and three assists while averaging over 17 minutes of ice time.
Defense
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI at DET ($5,500): Heading into Monday night, OEL had just one goal and five assists to this point. He has a great shot and is an offensive force when he's clicking. The Red Wings have allowed the seventh most shots on goal to opposing defensemen and OEL is still seeing a heavy dose of ice time. He's cheap for how talented he is and it's only a matter of time before he has a big night.
Mike Green, DET vs ARI ($5,100): With 11 points already, Green is on pace to blow by his 36-point output from all of last year. The Coyotes have allowed the seventh most fantasy points to defensemen, and Green is seeing over 23 minutes of ice time per game.
