FantasyDraft NHL: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

It seems like the NHL season has only just begun, but here we are in mid-November with every team having played a decent number of games. Here are some suggestions for Tuesday's eight-game slate…

GOALIE

Winnipeg Jets, WPG vs. ARI ($16,100): Even with an off night in his last game, Connor Hellebuyck has a 2.44 GAA and a .926 save percentage this season. This should be an easier evening for him, as the Coyotes have averaged 2.32 goals per contest. They also only have two wins all season, which bodes well for the Jets' chances of getting the victory.

CENTER

Sidney Crosby, PIT vs. BUF ($15,400): Crosby is off to a "slow" start, as he has 13 points through 19 games. However, he's currently sporting an 8.3 shooting percentage, which is definitely going to improve. That could happen against Buffalo, which has a team GAA of 3.47. Crosby's price is down a bit because of his bad puck luck.

Vincent Trocheck, FLA vs. DAL ($12,400): The Stars are the only team on the second night of a back-to-back Tuesday, and they will also be likely starting Kari Lehtonen. Lehtonen has a .914 save percentage, but he hasn't had a save percentage greater than .906 in his last three seasons. Trocheck has tallied at least one point in four of his last five games, and he also has put three shots on goal in four of those five contests.

WING

Blake Wheeler, WPG vs. ARI ($14,000): Wheeler has averaged 17.93 fantasy points per game, thanks in large part to the fact he has 18 assists through 16 tilts. He's also notched at least 26 goals and 225 shots on net in his last four seasons. The Coyotes, meanwhile, have a team GAA of 3.89, which is the worst in the NHL. They also have a league-worst .881 team save percentage.

Artemi Panarin, CLM at MON ($10,900): Panarin only has three goals this season, but that's due to a shockingly low 5.4 shooting percentage. Plus, he has 10 assists, so it hasn't been a total wash. Panarin has started 66.3 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, the most of any Blue Jacket. The Canadiens, meanwhile, have a team GAA of 3.39, and their penalty kill ranks 29th.

David Perron, VGK at EDM ($10,400): Perron has a four-game point streak with seven points in his last six. While he only has one power-play point this season, Perron has averaged 3:16 per game with the extra man. The Oilers have the league's worst penalty kill, so perhaps Perron can add to his power-play point total.

DEFENSEMEN

Oscar Klefbom, EDM vs. VGK ($10,600): While Malcolm Subban is traveling with the Golden Knights, there is no indication he will play in this game. That would mean fourth-string netminder Max Lagace (3.58 GAA, .876 save percentage) is in net once again. Klefbom only has four points, but he's put 55 shots on goal in 17 games while blocking 40 shots. His 1.8 shooting percentage is going to improve, and it could definitely happen if Lagace is in net for Vegas.

Jacob Trouba, WPG vs. ARI ($9,000): Trouba has played 2:14 per game with the extra man, which is the most of his career, while the Coyotes have the 28th-ranked penalty kill. Also, Arizona has a league-high 3.89 team GAA and it has allowed 32.7 shots on net per contest. Trouba has never been incredibly prolific as a scorer but has six assists in 16 games, as well as 36 blocked shots.
