FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Jake Allen, STL vs ANH ($8,600): Allen and the Blues are as good as you can get at home. Realistically, his salary should be closer to the $9,000 range. He's won his last four starts and yet his salary has dropped. Overall, Allen is 13-5-1 with a 2.75 GAA and .908 save percentage, which is a bit lower than it probably should be. The Ducks average 2.63 goals per game, the fourth worst mark in the league.

Center

Matt Duchene, OTT at MTL ($4,800): With a goal in his last game, Duchene is starting to look more comfortable with his new teammates in Ottawa. He's been moved onto a line with Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman, two guys with great chemistry that have skated together often over the years. The Canadiens have struggled at stopping centers, and Duchene is so cheap at $4,800 that he should be able to make value.

Bryan Little, WPG at COL ($5,000): After a dreadful start to the season, Little has picked it up of late with two goals and two assists in his last three games. He skates on a solid line with Nikolaj Ehlers and Patrik Laine while also seeing time on the power play. Expect Little's solid play to continue on Wednesday.

Wing

Kyle Connor, WPG at COL ($4,400): Connor skates with Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler on the top line and No. 1 power play. He has two goals in his last three games with two assists and an average of three shots on goal per game over that span.

Vladimir Sobotka, STL vs ANH ($4,000): Sobotka is a bit cold with just one point over his last three games, but he's skating on the second line and has nine shots on goal over his last two games. As mentioned, the Blues are fantastic at home and Anaheim gives up plenty of goals.

Jake DeBrusk, BOS vs TB ($4,300): DeBrusk has been skating well on the second line for Boston with points in four of his last six games. Over that span, he has two goals and four assists. The Bruins host the Lightning, who are playing their second game in as many nights, suggesting that backup Peter Budaj may be starting. DeBrusk is also penciled in on the top power-play unit where he has one goal and one assist.

Defense

Jacob Trouba, WPG at COL ($4,700): Trouba had a goal in his last game, snapping a four-game pointless streak. He's in a great spot to produce Wednesday against an Avalanche team that has allowed the most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks (11 games). The numbers include 10 goals and 24 assists allowed. Trouba offers a solid floor for his salary.

Erik Johnson, COL vs WPG ($4,400): Johnson only has two goals in the last week and six assists overall this season, but he also has 64 shots on goal and 40 blocked shots. He plays a lot of minutes and draws a good matchup against Winnipeg, which has allowed the third most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks.
