FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs PHI ($8,400): The Golden Knights have been one of the best home teams in the NHL with a 19-3-2 record, and a lot of that has to do with Fleury's play. The veteran netminder is 16-5-2 with a 2.03 goals against average and a .934 save percentage. The former Pittsburgh Penguin has won three of his last four starts and is in a great spot to pick up another victory against the Flyers, who will be playing their third game in four nights.

Center

Mathew Barzal, NYI vs CGY ($6,300): Barzal is coming off a monstrous five-assist effort in that wild game against the Red Wings on Friday. The 20-year-old's impressive rookie season continues as he's fourth among center icemen with 42 assists and has 16 goals -- four of which have come on the power play. In addition to manning the second line, Barzal operates from one of the points on the top power-play unit for the Isles, who have one of the better power plays in the league with a 22 percent success rate.

Erik Haula, VGK vs PHI ($6,300): Haula has been one of the many pleasant surprises for the Golden Knights and has been hot of late. The second-line center has recorded a goal in six of his last eight games and has 21 tallies on the season. Eight of those markers have come on the power play. Vegas averages 3.41 goals per game, the second-highest mark in the league, and the Knights face a Flyers team playing in its second road game in as many nights.

Wing

Anders Lee, NYI vs CGY ($6,900): Lee and the Islanders have no trouble scoring goals, averaging 3.36 goals per game, the third most in the NHL. Lee has a tally in each of his last two games, giving him 29 on the season. Nine of Lee's goals have come on the power play, which bodes well for him in this spot. Calgary's penalty kill is ranked 21st. The fifth-year pro is third in the NHL, averaging seven high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes. Look for Lee to continue to get opportunities on Sunday with the Flames playing in their third road game in the last four nights.

Corey Perry, ANH vs ANH ($5,500): Perry has turned his season around over his last four games, recording at least a point in each contest with a total of three goals and four assists. The former Hart Trophy winner has averaged 3.75 shots on goal per game over that span. The Sharks have allowed the third-most fantasy points to right wings over the last month, making Perry even more of an appealing option on Sunday.

Sam Reinhart, BUF vs COL ($4,800): Reinhart has been a great value option of late, skating on the first line and top power-play unit for Buffalo. The second overall pick of the 2014 draft has a point in each of his last four games with a goal and five assists over that span. Furthermore, Reinhart has five goals and 12 assists over his last 12 games.

Defense

T.J. Brodie, CGY at NYI ($4,500): The seventh-year pro Brodie skates into a great matchup Sunday. The Islanders have allowed the most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks. Brodie is seeing over 23 minutes of ice time per game and has six assists over his last five games. He's due for some positive regression as his shooting percentage is down to 3.3 percent from where he's been over his last three seasons (7.7, 7.6 and 8.3 percent, respectively).

Hampus Lindholm, ANA vs SJ ($4,400): Lindholm is coming off a two-point effort in which he had a goal and an assist. He's averaged four shots on goal over his last three games and is averaging 2.12 shots on goal per game this season. As a former first-round draft pick, Lindholm at one time showed a lot of offensive potential. However, some injuries and a brief contract dispute have slowed his progression down a bit. Look for Lindholm to produce Sunday against the Sharks, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks.
