DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Petr Mrazek, PHI vs. MON ($6,900): There's potential that it's Alex Lyon ($7,300) in nets for the Flyers, since Philadelphia just acquired Mrazek from Detroit on Monday. However, if it is indeed the Czech patrolling the blue paint, a date with the Habs would be a perfect debut matchup. Montreal's 2.16 goals per 60 minutes on the road is the second lowest mark in the league, and Philadelphia has surrendered just 9.64 high-danger scoring chances per hour at home.

CENTER

Brayden Point, TAM at WAS ($5,800): Not only are the Capitals on the second leg of a back-to-back set after beating Buffalo 3-2 on Monday, but Washington is also allowing the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes in the league (13.05). Point has marked the scoresheet in four consecutive games to improve to 1.09 goals, 2.61 points and 8.03 shots per hour for the campaign.

Bo Horvat, VAN vs. COL ($5,700): The 22-year-old center has collected five goals, five assists and 29 shots while averaging a hefty 19:28 of ice time with 2:56 on the man advantage through his past 12 games. He projects to skate with Brock Boeser in all situations, and the duo has combined for a 57.54 Corsi For percentage and 4.24 goals per 60 minutes this season. Colorado has also allowed 3.48 goals per road game, so the matchup checks out.

WING

David Pastrnak, BOS at EDM ($6,500): The high-scoring winger snapped a four-game point drought with a goal in Monday's win over Calgary. His salary has dropped because of his recent offensive struggles, but it's not warranted considering he had marked the scoresheet in each of his past 10 games for four goals, eight assists and 29 shots before the skid. Edmonton has won just three of its past 11 games while allowing 3.78 goals per 60 minutes, too.

Jaden Schwartz, STL vs. SAN ($5,700): The Sharks have a number of regulars out, and Brent Burns could also miss this contest or play at less than 100 percent because of an undisclosed injury. As a result, this could prove to be a sneaky spot for Schwartz and the Blues. The winger enters with three goals, three assists and 19 shots through his past six contests, and he's combined with center Brayden Schenn for an impressive 4.6 goals per 60 minutes this season.

Jack Roslovic, WPG vs. LA ($3,500): This is the final stop of a seven-game road trip for the Kings, and considering Winnipeg boasts a 23-5-2 record at the Bell MTS Centre, this checks out as a favorable matchup for the Jets. Roslovic checks out as a low-priced candidate now that he appears to have found his footing at the highest level with two goals and three assists through his past seven games.

DEFENSE

Victor Hedman, TAM at WAS ($6,000): With two goals, nine points and 27 shots through his past eight games, this salary doesn't align with Hedman's recent production. He also has logged 26:02 of ice time per contest with 4:00 on the man advantage during that span. As noted, the Capitals could also be in a vulnerable schedule spot.

Jake Gardiner, TOR vs. FLA ($4,800): After proving his health last time out by receiving 21:19 of ice time and recording an assist, Gardiner is back to being a strong option. His salary is reasonable, and he's collected 16 points through his past 15 games. Florida is also playing the final leg of a five-game road trip and is coming off a 7-2 loss to Winnipeg on Sunday, so this could prove to be another tough matchup for the Panthers.
