DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Antti Raanta, ARI vs. STL ($7,300): The Finn has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his past five starts for a .948 save percentage and 1.61 GAA over that stretch, which has him sporting sterling .931 and 2.16 marks dating back to mid-December. The Blues enter on the second leg of a back-to-back road set and could be ripe for another letdown showing considering they've won eight of their past 10 contests.

CENTER

Sidney Crosby, PIT vs. MON ($7,500): With five goals, three assists and 21 shots during an active five-game point streak, Crosby enters in strong form and without a prohibitive salary. Montreal hasn't beat a playoff-bound team since topping Anaheim on Feb. 3, and the Canadiens have allowed 3.59 goals per 60 minutes on the road since the All-Star break.

Nico Hischier, NJ vs. NYI ($5,300): This is a manageable salary with which to target Hischier. He's collected five goals, four assists and 26 shots through his past 10 outings and is expected to center Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri. The trio has combined for 4.67 goals per 60 minutes this season, which projects favorably with the Islanders playing their second game in consecutive nights and allowing a whopping 3.59 goals and 14.09 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes in the second half.

WING

Filip Forsberg, NAS vs. BUF ($6,600): It's been a strong March for Forsberg, as he's collected four goals, 12 assists and five multi-point showings through 15 games. With a favorable matchup against the basement-dwelling Sabres, the Swede is a strong lean.

Clayton Keller, ARI vs. STL ($5,000): Just an outing removed from a 10-game point streak consisting of five goals, nine assists and 30 shots, Keller's salary looks short. He's locked into a top offensive role, and the Blues enter on the second leg of a back-to-back road set. There's also likely to be contrarian value with Keller's ownership.

Valentin Zykov, CAR vs. NYR ($4,600): The Rangers surrendered seven goals to Tampa Bay on Friday, and they've allowed the most per 60 minutes in the league since the All-Star break. Zykov has impressed since being recalled to the Hurricanes with three goals, three assists and 14 shots through six games, and he's skating on an intriguing line with Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen.

DEFENSE

P.K. Subban, NAS vs. BUF ($5,500): As noted, this sets up as a favorable matchup, and Subban offers a high-floor, high-ceiling combo. He's collected four helpers, 13 shots and eight blocked shots while logging 25:41 of ice time (4:07 with the man advantage) through his past five games, and he's also in the midst of one of the best seasons of his career. The asking price is reasonable, too.

Justin Schultz, PIT vs. MON ($4,600): The 27-year-old defenseman has been receiving looks with the No. 1 power-play unit at times lately, so there's contrarian appeal here. Schultz has only marked the scoresheet in one of his past 10 games, but he's buoyed his value with 23 shots and 15 blocked shots during that stretch. With a soft opponent, taking a risk on Schultz could pay off.
