DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Sergei Bobrovsky, CLM vs. DET ($8,600): Spending up in goal might be an avenue to differentiating lineups, and there is enough value in the pool of skaters to justify it. Bobrovsky sports a 13-2-0 record, .936 save percentage and 1.94 GAA through his past 15 games, and those ratios improve to .952 and 1.43 at home during that stretch. Detroit has also scored just 2.51 goals per 60 minutes since the All-Star break.

CENTER

Derek Stepan, ARI at CGY ($5,200): Arizona's top offensive center has collected a goal, nine assists and 17 shots through his past eight games, and this projects as a favorable matchup. Calgary has only won once through its past eight games while allowing 35 goals. Stepan's salary is reasonable, too.

Jonathan Drouin, MON vs. WPG ($4,400): Aside from Saturday's win against Toronto, Winnipeg has allowed at least four goals in each of its past five outings, and the Jets are also playing the second leg of a back-to-back road set. It could be a sneaky spot for Drouin to continue his late-season surge. He's collected three goals and seven assists through his past 11 games and is projected to center an encouraging line with Paul Byron and Brendan Gallagher.

WING

Brad Marchand, BOS at TB ($7,200): Mired in a two-game point drought, Marchand is positioned for a breakout showing against the reeling Lightning. Tampa Bay has allowed at least three goals in six of its past seven games, and Marchand owns an elite 1.61 goals and 3.99 points per 60 minutes for the campaign.

Travis Konecny, PHI at NYI ($5,400): The Islanders continue to be one of the softest matchups with a league-high 3.61 goals per hour allowed in the second half, so Konecny's salary jumps out as a prime value. His upside and production have both skyrocketed since joining Sean Couturier and Claude Giroux at even strength, and the sophomore has recorded 20 goals and 17 assists through 42 outings since the promotion.

Joonas Donskoi, SAN vs. DAL ($4,200): The Finn proved his health with an assist in his return to action Saturday, and he's projected to remain in a top-six role and receive power-play time against Dallas. The Stars have nothing to play for, whereas San Jose is looking to lockup home-ice advantage for Round 1 of the playoffs. Additionally, Donskoi has been on the ice for an impressive 15.92 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes this season.

DEFENSE

Shayne Gostisbehere, PHI at NYI ($6,100): As noted, this is a favorable matchup for the Flyers, and Gostisbehere enters with a second-ranked 2.24 points per 60 minutes among all regular defensemen. He's also marked the scoresheet in five of his past seven games for two goals, six assists, 18 shots and 20 blocked shots. Just note that Gostisbehere could be a popular selection.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI at CGY ($4,700): With six goals, six assists, 46 shots and 19 blocked shots through 17 games dating back to March 1, Ekman-Larsson is worth considering at this salary. Quarterbacking the No. 1 power-play unit boosts his value, and as mentioned, the Flames have been in a free fall the past three weeks.
