FantasyDraft NHL: Thursday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

GOALIE

Arizona Coyotes, ARI at VAN ($16,400): Both the Canucks and Coyotes have had rough seasons, but there are a couple things working in favor of Arizona's netminders here. The Canucks have only average 2.65 goals and 29.8 shots on net per contest. Meanwhile, the Coyotes have a 2.53 GAA since the All-Star break. They are led by Antti Raanta, who has a 2.24 GAA and .930 save percentage in a stellar season that has been limited by injury. He's healthy now, though.

CENTER

Jeff Carter, LOS vs. MIN ($13,500): Since returning from a lengthy injury absence, Carter has 13 goals on 66 shots in 19 games. Now he's going up against a Minnesota team on the road for the second night of a back-to-back. The Wild have struggled in such situations, as they have a 3.39 GAA away from home.

Dylan Larkin, DET vs. MON ($12,100): Larkin has a four-game point streak, and over his last 10 games he's tallied 11 points and 35 shots on net. The Canadiens, meanwhile, have a 3.54 GAA on the road. That's the highest in the NHL. They also have the 30th-ranked penalty kill.

WING

Anders Lee, NYI vs. NYR ($11,600): Lee has a whopping 39 goals in 80 games, including 14 on the power play. He's also started 53.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second highest among Islanders forwards. The Rangers have been almost as bad defensively as their New York brethren since the All-Star break. In that time, they have a 3.63 team GAA while allowing a staggering 38.1 shots on net per game.

Chris Kreider, NYR at NYI ($10,800): Kreider has notched 11 points in his last 10 games, including five on the power play. He's averaged 2:36 with the extra man and tallied 12 power-play points in 56 contests. The Islanders have a league-high 3.61 goals and have given up 35.6 shots on net per contest, which is also a league high. However, at home their GAA actually rises to 3.78.

Timo Meier, SAN vs. COL ($8,300): Meier has a three-game point streak and has put 18 shots on net in his last five contests. Overall, the 21-year-old has 20 goals on 203 shots. The Avalanche have a 3.35 GAA in away games, but they also don't have Semyon Varlamov any longer. That leaves backup Jonathan Bernier (2.87 GAA, .912 save percentage) to shoulder the load.

DEFENSEMEN

Dustin Byfuglien, WPG vs. CGY ($12,100): Byfuglien only has seven goals and 36 assists, but he can blame injuries holding him to 67 games and a career-low 3.7 shooting percentage for his somewhat down numbers. He's been just fine recently, posting four points and 25 shots on goal in his last five contests. The Flames, on the other hand, have a 3.55 GAA since the All-Star break, fourth highest in the league.

Shea Theodore, VGK at EDM ($10,200): Theodore has eight points and 31 shots on net in his last eight games. He's actually been prolific at putting pucks on net for a little longer than that, as he has 47 shots in his last 12 contests. The Oilers have a 3.26 GAA and have allowed an average of 34.0 shots since the All-Star break. They also have a 3.49 GAA at home and the 27th-ranked penalty kill.
