Main Event - Women's Flyweight Championship

Natalia Silva (20-5-1) v. Cong Wang (10-1-0)
DK Salaries: Silva ($8,700), Wang ($7,500)
Vegas Odds: Silva (-205), Wang (+170)

With former champion Valentina Shevchenko having vacated her title after suffering a back/shoulder injury that is expected to sideline her for a year-plus, Silva and Wang will battle for the undisputed crown in one of the strangest headliners of a numbered event I can ever remember.

Silva deserves to be here. She's a perfect 8-0 in the UFC, including victories over former champions Rose Namajunas, Alexa Grasso and Jessica Andrade. She also has a win over another legitimate contender in Jasmine Jasudavicius. Going back to her time on the Brazilian regional scene, Silva is riding a 14-fight winning streak. Her last setback came against UFC veteran Marina Rodriguez in December 2017.

Wang's situation is a bit more complicated. She's 34 years old and has limited MMA experience, so this may be her only shot at UFC gold. They'll obviously never admit it, but my guess is the company put her in this position in hopes of her springing the upset as the UFC seeks an uptick in popularity in the Chinese market. It's not a bad idea, quite frankly, especially when you take into account the only two other reasonable candidates for this spot -- Grasso and Manon Fiorot -- fought each other just a few weeks ago.

Silva started her professional career 1-3 with three stoppage defeats, so the fact she's in this position in remarkable.

She has proven to be very much a generalist during her UFC run. Not that that's a bad thing.

She lands at a high rate (4.81 significant strikes per minute), doesn't get hit much (2.36 significant strikes per minute) and can mix in a takedown in a pinch.

Silva has gone the full 15 minutes against every halfway decent opponent she's fought in the UFC. Her two knockouts wins with the company are over Tereza Bleda and Victoria Leonardo. I'm worried that her game planning of constantly going to the scorecards is going to burn her eventually, but all six of her decision wins with the UFC have been of the unanimous variety.

A former professional kickboxer, Wang is a talented striker. She's both effective at distance and creative, but the other parts of her game have never truly developed.

While Silva has been facing some of the best in the world, Wang's six UFC appearances have been against Leonardo, Gabriella Fernandes (submission loss), Bruna Brasil, Ariane Lipski, Eduarda Moura and Tracy Cortez. Given her advanced age and limited game, I think there's a real chance Wang is in this position because she's beaten up on lower-level competition.

I lean Silva here, but without any real conviction.

The judging as a whole has been absolutely awful over the last several months, and I don't plan on getting very heavily invested in a fight which appears to likely be close and to be going to the scorecards.

Co-Main Event - Bantamweight

Deiveson Figueiredo (25-7-1) v. Payton Talbott (11-1-0)
DK Salaries: Figueiredo ($7,300), Talbott ($8,900)
Vegas Odds: Figueiredo (+455), Talbott (-625)

Do not adjust your screens.

Yes, Figueiredo is in the co-main event of a numbered card in the latter stages of 2026. The former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion will be 39 years old in December. He's lost four of his last five fights and has just a single victory dating back to August 2024. The lone win during that stretch was a split decision over Montel Jackson.

Literally the only thing saving Figgy at this point is competiton level faced. Those four previously mentioned defeats came against Yadong Song, Umar Nurmagomedov, Cory Sandhagen, and Petr Yan. Talbott is good, and there's every reason to doubt Figueiredo's ability to be competitive here, but it's still technically a step down in competition considering the guys he's been in there with of late.

Talbott earned his UFC opportunity with an August 2023 win on Dana White's Contender Series. He then went on to win his first three fights with the promotion against lower-level opposition before getting "vet checked" by Raoni Barcelos in January 2025. He has since rebounded with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Felipe Lima and Henry Cejudo.

Figgy is now eight fights into his bantamweight run, sporting a 4-4 mark during that stretch. His cardio hasn't improved in the higher weight class, which isn't a surprise to me considering both his age and weight cutting issues at flyweight. It's also worth noting the Brazilian came in at 138.5 for his Nurmagomedov loss, so he's still having trouble cutting to 136 pounds, something which only gets tougher the older you get.

In his last five fights, each of which lasted at least until the final minute of Round 2, these are Figgy's significant strike landed totals: 9, 8, 23 (the Jackson win), 6, 53. He simply doesn't throw enough, and his trademark power hasn't carried over to bantamweight.

It sounds lame, but all I think Talbott has to do to win this fight is just not make any major mistakes.

He's five inches taller with a two-inch reach edge. He's more than a decade younger. He's more active on the feet and better defensively in all areas.

As long as Talbott doesn't do something dumb like leave his neck exposed while shooting a takedown or get lazy with his foot movement, I think this is a rout.

This isn't like the Barcelos v. Raul Rosas fight from last week where both guys were keeping an insane pace from start to finish. Figgy can't do that, and that all but eliminates this chance of pull the upset.

UFC 332 PICK: Talbott

Lightweight

King Green (36-17-1, 1NC) v. Esteban Ribovics (16-3-0)
DK Salaries: Green ($7,300), Ribovics ($8,900)
Vegas Odds: Green (+200), Ribovics (-245)

Now 40 years old, this will be Green's 56th professional fight. He's won four in a row, including three via stoppage. His last win was a first-round knockout of Terrance McKinney in July. Green isn't a legitimate contender and hasn't been in years. That said, he's highly entertaining, extremely popular and has been with the company 13-plus years. King is going to get put in notable positions as long as he shows he has any gas left in the tank.

This is a very quick turnaround for Ribovics, who when we last saw him in mid-August, was retiring Edson Barboza via second-round knockout. Esteban has been highly inconsistent of late, alternating wins and losses in his past five fights. He often finds himself in close, competitive bouts, which probably shouldn't be the case given how naturally skilled he is. I'll touch on the reasons for this below.

It's really hard to accurately break down a Green fight because he's more interested in putting on a show than winning the bout. He's going to do what he always does: fight with his hands low and jaw at his opponent in hopes of finishing him before he gets finished.

Six of Green's 17 career defeats have come via knockout, so he's far from the most durable guy going.

Oddly enough, I think this is a pretty good matchup for King, especially when you take into account his opponent is a decade younger.

Ribovics is a one-dimensional brawler. He's willing to get hit in order to land two shots of his own. He doesn't grappler and will be willing to engage Green in the stand-up war he is seeking.

He averages a ridiculous 7.43 significant strikes per minute, while absorbing 5.74 per 15 minutes.

Esteban has shown the ability to keep a high pace for three rounds, which is probably his biggest advantage here.

Both men are 5-foot-10, while Green has a two-inch reach edge.

Ribovics is favored and rightfully so, but the gap is far too wide in my opinion. Backing aging fighters is risky, and these are not typically wagers I often advocate making, but the price is right here. This sets up as a matchup that Green should be able to remain competitive in.

Welterweight

Roberto Soldic (21-4-0, 1NC) v. Khaos Williams (16-5-0)
DK Salaries: Soldic ($9,200), Williams ($7,000)
Vegas Odds: Soldic (-300), Williams (+240)

A former Middleweight and Welterweight Champion in KSW, Soldic will be making his UFC debut here as one of the more intriguing additions to the roster in the past calendar year. Of his four professional defeats, one was a knockout at the hands of Dricus du Plessis in April 2018 and the other was a split decision to Yaroslav Amosov in June 2016.

Williams has been treading water of late, going 3-2 in his past five fights. He's actually had quite a nice run when you consider he joined the UFC roster in February 2020 as nothing more than low-end roster depth. He's displayed zero consistency, even on a round-by-round basis, but Williams is no pushover and feels like a fair matchup for Soldic in his company debut.

Soldic is known for his ridiculous power.

18 of his 21 career victories have come via knockout. Unlike many brutal power punchers, a good chunk of Soldic's KO finishes in KSW came later in fights. The thunder in his hands holds up well throughout the course of a bout, which should help aid in his transition to the UFC.

It sure seems as if the company did him a favor with this matchup.

Williams hasn't landed a single takedown in his entire UFC run. He doesn't wrestle at all, and like the Green v. Ribovics fight, this thing figures to be contested entirely on the feet.

This is not a good card for a numbered event, to put it mildly, but fights like this one should be highly entertaining.

It's impossible to know what to expect from these guys that have had a ton of high-level success in other organizations.

Patchy Mix for example, washed out immediately. Salahdine Parnasse, on the other hand, destroyed Dan Hooker in less than three minutes in his main event company debut a little less than a month ago.

I'm sure the UFC gave Soldic a decent payday to join the company, and company brass wants to show off its new prize, so he's the pick. It's favorable matchmaking for the newcomer.

UFC 332 PICK: Soldic

Middleweight

Ateba Gautier (11-1-0) v. Roman Kopylov (15-5-0)
DK Salaries: Gautier ($8,800), Kopylov ($7,400)
Vegas Odds; Gautier (-205), Kopylov (+170)

Sensing they potentially had something big on their hands in Gautier, the UFC has taken things exceedingly slowly with his development. He's 5-0 with the company, including four knockout wins, but the opposition faced to date has been Ozzy Diaz, Andrey Pulyaev, Treston Vines, Robert Valentin and Jose Medina. Regardless of what you think of Kopylov, he might as well be prime Jon Jones compared to those other names.

Kopylov snapped a two-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision win over Marco Tulio in May. Prior to that, he had won seven of eight. Roman is another guy with major consistency issues, but he's been in the octagon with the likes of Gregory Rodrigues, Paulo Costa, Chris Curtis, and Anthony Hernandez. He's also 35 years old. The experience edge is real and is something Roman should lean into ahead of this matchup.

Gautier is built like The Incredible Hulk. He swings for the bleachers which every single shot he attempts. He's not very effective at stringing together combinations and he had a boatload of trouble managing distance in the Pulayev fight, but still managed to win because he scored two knockdowns.

The power is his Get Out of Jail Free card. Each of Gautier's first three UFC fights ended in Round 1. In his last two, against Pulyaev and Diaz, he wasn't as effective, although he won both, eventually finding the knockout shot against Diaz 70 seconds into Round 2.

Not only do I trust Kopylov's volume more, he should have a major wrestling advantage.

Roman doesn't wrestle often, but he does grapple in favorable matchups. His last fight against Tulio was one. Facing a long opponent that prefers to fight at distance, Kopylov mixed in a well-timed takedown. Heck, he took Rodrigues down twice in his fight before that.

Gautier is big and strong and has never been taken down in his UFC career, but it would be foolish for Roman to not explore the possibility, if for no other reason than the fact engaging Ateba in a wild brawl is about the most foolish thing he can do.

Ateba is the pick simply because Roman tends to get hit too much on the feet, but I don't like the price tag and think Kopylov has a clear path to victory if he can get his grappling game going.

UFC 332 PICK: Gautier
