To have surgery on hand
McDonald will have surgery on his broken left hand Aug. 30, MMAFighting.com reports.

The 27-year-old does not have a set timetable for his return prior to surgery. McDonald suffered the injury during his most recent bout -- a knockout victory over Eduardo Dantas in under a minute. According to McDonald's statement on Instagram, a bone in his hand was "crushed", and the surgery will require fusing his hand bones together and adding a steel plate.
