Pitbull
To fight in European promotion

January 12, 2018
Menga will take on Raymison Bruno Souza de Oliveira on Feb. 24 in Manchester, England, under the Celtic Gladiators promotion banner, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Menga was recently released by the UFC in late December after failing to cut the appropriate amount of weight for his scheduled fight against Tim Elliott, and now it appears as though "Pitbull" is attempting to work his way back into the promotion by proving himself elsewhere. It was a tough break for Menga, who was never able to compete in the Octagon after signing earlier in the year, and was particularly surprising considering he was added to the bout against Elliott on short notice with only two weeks to prepare. Looking ahead, he will bring his perfect 13-0 record up against "Formiga" who holds a 10-1 mark during his professional career.

Menga was released by the UFC on Friday, Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Menga recently failed to make weight for his fight against Tim Elliott at UFC on FOX 26 just two weekends ago, although he was stepping in on short notice for the injured Justin Scoggins (spine). It appeared as though the 29-year-old was also battling kidney problems due to the sheer amount of weight he had to cut, and the "Pitbull" will now look to continue his fighting career in a different promotion. During his professional career, Menga holds a perfect 13-0 record, but was never able to set foot in the Octagon within his brief time as a member of the UFC.

Menga will not take on Tim Elliott at UFC on Fox 26 on Dec. 16 in Winnipeg after failing to weigh in prior to the fight, Mike Bohn of USA Today Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Menga was set to fill in for Justin Scoggins (spine), but now this flyweight contest will fall by the wayside, and his UFC debut will have to wait a while longer. It appears as though Menga dealt with kidney issues after attempting to cut 29 pounds within the past two weeks, which might not be that much of a surprise considering how he didn't have a great deal of time to prepare for this fight.

Menga will face Tim Elliott in a flyweight contest at UFC on Fox 26 on Dec. 16 in Winnipeg, Peter Carroll of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Menga will be stepping in on short notice for Justin Scoggins (spine) against Elliott. The newcomer has a 13-0 career record with eight submission wins. Menga believes his striking will be what could take down his opponent in this matchup but he'll be facing a more experience and higher caliber fighter than he's used to.
