Falls via split decision
MiddleweightUFC
March 18, 2017
Askham lost to Bradley Scott via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London
ANALYSIS
Askham simply could not hold up against Scott's power in this fight. He had some success working from the outside with straight punches and kicks. However, Scott was able to continually wade forward and land power strikes. Askham got dropped in the first round and was hurt badly to the legs in the second round. The English fighter has now dropped back-to-back fights for the first time in his career. The loss dropped his UFC record to 2-4.
Drops decision to Jack Hermansson in Hamburg
MiddleweightUFC
September 3, 2016
Askham lost to Jack Hermansson via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Hamburg, Germany.
ANALYSIS
It was a significant step backwards for Askham following his Performance of the Night bonus he earned for a knockout win over Chris Dempsey in his last fight in February. The 28-year-old Englishman is highly limited from an athletic standpoint and he didn't have the foot speed to land consistent combinations against the debuting Hermansson. Askham did lock on a pair of submission attempts, but he ultimately wasn't able to do anything with them. He has now alternated wins and losses in his first five UFC contests.

Askham will face Jack "The Joker" Hermansson in a middleweight bout at UFC Fight Night 93 on Sept. 3 in Hamburg, Germany.
ANALYSIS
Askham hadn't lost a professional fight before arriving in the UFC, and he now owns a 2-2 record with the promotion. Following a TKO victory over Chris Dempsey at UFC Fight Night 84 in February, Askham will look to string together consecutive victories by facing a fighter making their UFC debut. Like Hermansson, Askham does most of his damage on the feet, and possesses a diverse striking arsenal that includes devastating knees and head kicks.
Scott Askham: Quickly stops Chris Dempsey in London
MiddleweightUFC
February 27, 2016
Askham defeated Chris Dempsey via KO (strikes) at 4:45 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.
ANALYSIS
Askham has always been impressive during his brief UFC run, never more so than Saturday. He dominated from the get go, finishing Dempsey with a beautiful kick to the face late in Round 1. Askham is only 2-2 in the UFC, but he is a better fighter than that record indicates. He's quite a bit away from meaningful fights, but Askham is a fighter to watch in the middleweight division.
Scott Askham: Slow start results in split decision loss Saturday
MiddleweightUFC
October 24, 2015
Askham lost to Krzysztof Jotko via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Dublin
ANALYSIS
Askham certainly didn't look bad, it was a close fight, one that he easily could have won. A slow start likely cost Askham the decision. Jotko appeared to clearly take round one and while Askham got better as the fight went along, his performance over the first five minutes was likely the difference in the bout. Askham is now 1-2 in his UFC career. He is a better fighter than that record would indicate, but he needs to start producing.
