George Roop

George Roop: Outclassed By Takeya Mizugaki In Saitama Saturday
BantamweightUFC
September 26, 2015
Roop lost to Takeya Mizugaki via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Saitama, Japan.
ANALYSIS
Roop is tall and has a good chin, but that's about it. He struggled in his first fight in nearly 15 months, easily dropping the first two rounds before improving slightly during the final five minutes. Everyone knew that Roop wasn't on Mizugaki's level, but it was still a poor effort. Roop has lost three of his last four fights and he has just one win since May 2013. It wouldn't be shocked if he was released during the UFC's next round of cuts.

George Roop: Considerable Underdog For Fight Against Takeya Mizugaki
BantamweightUFC
September 25, 2015
Roop is the underdog for Saturday's bantamweight fight against Takeya Mizugaki at UFC Fight Night in Saitama, Japan.
ANALYSIS
The only thing Roop has going for himself in this fight is the fact that he is 6'0'' tall. Somehow, he manages to make the 135-pound bantamweight limit. Roop's career record is 15-12-1 and he was knocked out in the first round by a guy named Rob Font in his last fight. There's a reason that Roop finds himself as a +200 underdog.
