Falls via knockout against A.J. McKee in the main event of Bellator 205
FeatherweightBellator
September 21, 2018
Macapa lost to A.J. McKee via KO (punch) at 1:09 of Round 1 at Bellator 205 on Friday in Boise, Idaho.
ANALYSIS
Macapa took this fight on relatively short notice after former champion Pat Curran pulled out of this event. McKee was a clear favorite, but Macapa was expected to give him a test. Instead, McKee starched the UFC veteran in a little over a minute. The Brazilian rushed in and tried to close the distance. McKee threw wildly and a left hook put out Macapa. He won his Bellator debut in 2016, but he has since lost three-straight fights against Daniel Weichel, Curran and McKee.

Drops decision against Pat Curran at Bellator 184
FeatherweightBellator
October 6, 2017
Teixeira lost to Pat Curran via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-30, 26-30) at Bellator 184 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Teixeira wanted to lead in this fight. He came out looking to set the pace with striking activity and leg kicks. Curran had other plans. He totally took Teixeira out of his game with counter strikes. It stopped Teixeira's momentum and made him tentative. The Brazilian stayed in the fight and continued to score with leg kicks, but Curran landed the better strikes throughout and took the fight. Teixeira falls to 4-2 in Bellator and 21-3-2 overall.
Drops questionable decision against Daniel Weichel
FeatherweightBellator
April 14, 2017
Teixeira lost to Daniel Weichel via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at Bellator 177 on Friday in Budapest.
ANALYSIS
This decision is a tough pill for Teixeira to swallow. He came out in the first round and landed some great shots. He dropped Weichel and continued to pour it on, but he could not score the finish. Teixeira continued to push the pace in the second round and simply outworked his opponent. Weichel came out looking for the finish in the third round, but Teixeira was able to survive. Unfortunately for Teixeira, two of the judges disagreed and gave the fight to Weichel. This is only Teixeira's second professional loss, but it would have been the biggest win of his career.
Roughs up Justin Lawrence en route to unanimous decision victory
FeatherweightBellator
December 4, 2016
Teixeira defeated Justin Lawrence via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at Bellator 167 on Saturday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Teixeira stepped on the gas pedal after a fairly even first round, bombarding Lawrence with clean, hard punches and thundering leg kicks for the remainder of the fight. Known more for his ground game, Teixeira proved his versatility against a tough striker like Lawrence. His professional record now stands at a robust 21-1. He has not lost a fight since June of 2012.
