He managed to land just 28 total strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout and his takedown defense was non existent. ANALYSIS
Morales recently joined the UFC this past year, and defeated Roberto Sanchez in impressive fashion during his debut. That fight came in early August in Mexico City, and Morales used a rear-naked choke to best Sanchez via submission in Round 1 of the bout. On the other side, Figueiredo comes in with two straight wins following his move to the UFC, as he claimed a split decision victory over Jarred Brooks in a few weeks ago, and a defeat of Marco Beltran via TKO (strikes) in his debut in June.

Impressive in UFC debut with Round 1 submission victory
Morales defeated Roberto Sanchez via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:56 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night 114 on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
Morales looked great in his UFC debut. He got taken down early, but showed great jiu-jitsu as he had a very active guard and was able to use a guillotine to get back to his feet. Then he drilled Sanchez with a straight right, and swarmed him to go for the finish. Once again "Bopo" showed he is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to grappling -- he locked in a rear-naked choke, lost it, readjusted, and locked it back in for the finish. The Team Alpha Male product is undefeated as a professional and seems to have a bright future ahead of him. He also earned a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his tremendous effort.
