Third straight stoppage loss
MiddleweightUFC
November 18, 2023
Tiuliulin lost to Christian Leroy Duncan via TKO (strikes) at 4:24 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Perhaps seeing the writing on the wall, Tiuliulin accepted this fight just days ago despite entering off back-to-back stoppage defeats. Things were projected to get no better against Duncan as a +455 underdog, and that turned out to be exactly the case. Tiuliulin did the best he could but was worn down with volume in Round 1 before being put down for good late in Round 2. It's far more likely than not this performance will represent the final fight with the company for the 35-year-old Tiuliulin.

Quickly finished in Boston

Tiuliulin lost to Gregory Rodrigues via KO (elbows) at 1:43 of Round 1 at UFC 292 on Saturday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
Looking to rebound from a first-round submission at the hands of Jun Yong Park in February, Tiuliulin once again failed to make it out of the opening frame. He was taken down quickly and gave up his back before Rodrigues finished the show with a few nasty elbows. An argument can be made that the first elbow Rodrigues threw landed to the back of Tiuliulin's head, but referee Bryan Miner didn't see it that way, so this is the result. Tiuliulin was only credited with three total strikes in the entire fight, which is all but a death sentence for a fantasy lineup. He falls to 11-8 as a professional with this result.

Inconsistent ways continue
MiddleweightUFC
February 5, 2023
Tiuliulin lost to Jun Yong Park via technical submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:05 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a knockout win over Jamie Pickett last September, it's difficult to envision a scenario in which Tiuliulin could have looked less competitive. He gave up a takedown about a minute in before taking some abuse on the mat and eventually being put to sleep via rear-naked choke. Tiuliulin has some power, but all of his success has come on the European regional circuit, and he's appeared a step slow throughout his brief UFC run. Now 1-2 with the company, Tiuliulin probably needs a victory his next time out in order to save his job.
