Top prospect shines in debut
FlyweightUFC
August 29, 2026
Hasan defeated Nilson Rojas via KO (punch) at 2:28 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Shanghai, China.
ANALYSIS
Hasan earned his UFC opportunity with a 45-second knockout win on Dana White's Contender Series on August 11. A little over two-plus weeks later, he has a knockout win on his ledger in his company debut, as well as a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus. This was a somewhat competitive fight most of the way. Hasan was definitely getting the better of the action, but that was expected as a -900 favorite. One right hand midway through Round 2 finished things on the spot. Hasan, at 25 years old, is legitimately one of the sport's elite prospects regardless of division.
Making UFC debut
FlyweightUFC
August 12, 2026
Hasan will face off against Nilson Rojas at UFC Shanghai on Aug. 29, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Hasan will make his UFC debut later this month following a first-round TKO against Mridul Saikia in Dana White's Contender Series this Tuesday. The fight ended quickly, as Saikia got too comfortable throwing naked leg kicks, and Hasan timed a hard right hand that led to the finish. The 25-year-old will be matched up against fellow newcomer Nilson Rojas, with both fighters operating on less than a month's rest. A 9-0-0 professional fighter with eight stoppage wins to his credit, big things are expected from the Indonesian in the competitive flyweight division.
