Cameron Nelson
Canada
Takes decision in UFC debut
Nelson defeated Ding Meng via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Shanghai, China.
ANALYSIS
This fight came together a few weeks ago, with Nelson having spent the entirety of his prior MMA career on the Canadian regional scene. His used his wrestling game and some control time to go up two rounds before hanging on for dear life in Round 3. All in all, it was a nice, surprising performance from a guy who had low expectations going in.
