Strong showing in debut loss
Edwards lost to Modestas Bukauskas via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Edwards accepted this fight a few days ago and was one of the largest underdogs on the card at +275. There was nothing to really suggest he won two of the three rounds as one of the judges implied, but he looked fine, especially considering the circumstances. Numbers wise, Edwards was able to match Bukauskas blow-for-blow. The issue was that the more notable strikes came from the latter. The 27-year-old New Mexico native and Jackson-Wink product will absolutely get another shot with the company.
