Andretti has passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 56 years old, NASCAR.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Andretti had battled stage 4 colon cancer since early 2017, and he finally lost that battle this week. The veteran driver retired at the end of the 2010 season and compiled two victories, 13 Top-5 and 37 Top-10 finishes in his Cup Series career.
